I started my professional career in the theatre, initially as a performer and subsequently as a promoter and producer. I have been practising yoga since discovering Anne Marie Zulkahari’s yoga classes back in the 1990s. In 2007, relinquishing my theatre PR business, I decided to train as a teacher with Chloe Fremantle and Anne Marie Zulkahari on the London Yoga Teacher Training Course (LYTTC), a two-year course fully accredited by the British Wheel of Yoga.
I have been a regular member of the team at Clerkenwellbeing in Goswell Road, EC1 since the Centre opened in 2013, teaching a weekly Monday evening class there. I am a member of the teaching faculty of the London Yoga Teacher Training Group (LYTTG) and also run their courses and CPD workshops. I regularly co-teach with Sarah Linsey on these courses.
I now combine my teaching practice with a freelance theatre press consultancy role at the Barbican Centre.
Feedback from my Yoga Classes
“This is the perfect class – two hours means that there is plenty of time for detailed asana practice as well as quiet breathing. Bridget teaches with intelligence and compassion. For me it is really important to go to a class where I have space to explore but know that I will receive frank and helpful advice. I always come away from the classes feeling well nourished and relaxed but with a list of things to practise during the coming week.” Carolyn
